Visit to Tatlong Krus

Another adventure with Jeff. . To differ with the what we usually hanged out during restdays, we decided to have a nature trip so we can enjoyed ourselves seeing greeny aside from the clear windows from a boutique of the mall. It was just a two days off so we can't go far for we might lack in time. We just explored the beauty of Laguna which we still haven't witnessed yet. Again Google maps was a great help again. Tried searching and searching then atlast decision had made. Paete here we come!!

Becoming quite popular these last few years due to development and the improvement of both the trail and service road leading to the park, Tatlong Krus of Paete are three crosses on Bundok ng Humarap, similar to the biblical Calvary Hill's Three Crosses.

Tatlong Krus

 It's history is tied with the neighboring town of Pakil, once part of Paete, and where stands a single cross on top of the hill. When Pakil decided to secede from Paete, the Paete towns folk decided to erect not one, but three crosses, on top of the hill fronting Paete and facing Laguna de Bay.

We took a bus going to Sta. Cruz Laguna . After a 2 hour bus ride from Sta. Cruz we rode a jeepney going to Siniloan and drop off Paete town proper.
We started walking, I thought we are still far from the start of trek because we pass by a lot of houses but I soon realized that it’s already the start because the stairs going up seems endless.The path going up is not that rough maybe that’s why it has a rating of 1 in terms of difficulty. But the stairs is quite slippery so be careful especially if it’s a steep step.
After 3 hours of trekking we finally reached Tatlong Krus. Too bad I forgot to brought my sunblock, and what made it worse was that I wore only shorts so my legs were got burned and darkened.

Looks like as if we were in Tagaytay because of the cottages there.

See? So greeny right? hehehe

We decided to had a lunch there but unfortunately the store didn't serve lunch. So we just satisfied our tummy by eating lots of buko and biscuits.We might got burn because of heat but we still enjoy our 1st time trek together. .
