Puerto Galera is a soothing vision of shimmering seas surrounded by lush mountains. It is considered one of the most beautiful and developed beach resort community in the country.

There are a thousand things one can do here. Landlubbers can pitch tents, light bonfires, play volleyball, toss a Frisbee, go beach-hopping, watch the sunset, gaze at the stars, hike, go rock climbing, carom off on a motorcycle, discover Oriental Mindoro’s other tourist spots or simply live it up.
But water is certainly the main attraction of the island. Crystal clear and shimmering especially during the hot summer months, the sea framing Puerto Galera is ideal for swimming, sailing, surfing, snorkeling and scuba diving. In fact one doesn’t have to go by boat to get to a dive site. Within a kilometer from the coast, schools of Moorish idols, trumpet fish, frog fish, lion fish and leaf fish weave in and out of thriving corals and sea anemones while species of starfish – from the speckled red-and-white to the neon-blue Pacific – rest on the sandy floor.

To make my BF's birthday unforgettable we decided to went there for our first time. Thank you Google Map for guiding us there. . hahaha. Together with Troy and Gen ( Jeff's  friends) we enjoyed our 3 days stay there.

We didnot got a chance to swim a lot because of the big waves due of the incoming typhoon. We just stay near the bank for we might got drowned if we moved far .

Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife

The Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center (NAPWC) traces its beginning as a portion of the 197.8 hectares Quezon Memorial Park (QMP) which was covered under Proclamation No. 42 dated July 5, 1954. With the issuance of Proclamations Nos. 481 and 616 respectively, the park’s area was reduce 64.58 hectares. The larger areas were allocated for Philippine Science High School and the National Government Center which was later on subdivided and developed as the areas occupied by the Central Bank of the Philippines, Lung Center, Kidney Center, and Lungsod ng Kabataan (Children’s Hospital). To date, the NAPWC covers only 22.7 hectares.

Me and Jeff decided to visit wildlife . . wala na kasi kame maisipan na galaan eh. . sobrang tirik ang araw buti nalang medyo mahangin . .

HuNdReD IsLanD

The most popular tourist spot in Pangasinan, Hundred Islands National Park is a group of islands in Lingayen Gulf, Alaminos City. It is made up of 123 islands and islets (124 on low tide), believed to be formed more than two million years ago.

Actually , this is not what we really planned for our anniversary.Our original plan was a three days vacation back at Puerto Galera . But our friends who had joined us on our vacation trip wanted to travel to a place that they didn't went before. So again , thanks to Google in helping us to search for a tourist spot that was also good in our budget.

After 7 hours of travel, we had reached Lucap Wharf Alaminos . The Victory Liner helped us to got a ride to a hotel near the wharf.

Island Tropic Hotel found to be the cheapest hotel near the wharf. The room was better than in the Puerto Galera.

 

We arrived there at almost 3pm so we just decided to do island hopping tomorrow morning. The clock alarmed at 5:30am pero naunahan pa namin yung alarm  clock sa paggising . Excited eh! Bakit ba??!! We rent a service boat worth 1400 so we can go to wherever island we want to see first. Hahahaha!! shooting habang nakain ng tapsilog!

 

Sobrang ganda ng view,, may mga island na hindi mapupuntahan kasi walang pampang kaya hanggang tanaw na lang. Mas nagenjoy kami dun sa mga undeveloped na island na animo'y cast kame ng survivor kapag nagstay kami don.

 

One island that amazed me the most was the Marcos Island where the underwater cave is situated. It's good for fall diving where a 10feet high sea level awaits for you. It was also my first time to see plenty of bats sleeping up of the curve. Malas pa at natuluan ako ng ihi ng paniki!! tsk! pero ok lang. . hehe. . hindi ko na inintindi yun, Ang pumupukaw lang kasi ng atensyon ko ay yung BF ko at yung ganda ng Hundred Island.

 

It was also my first time to do snorkling and how fun it was to swim with the fishes around you na kulang nalang ay mag mataya - taya kami sa dagat dahil sa kakahabol ko na mahawakan sila. Sa unang pagkakataon na makakita ako ng mga giant clamshell sa tabi ng dagat na buhay.

 

Bumalik din kami ng 12nn ng haponsa hotel kasi kailangan namin magcheck out ng 3pm.

 

24 hours lang kami nagstay pero lahat ng memories ng Hundred Island ay ichecherish  ko ng sobra sobra!!
